Ajaz Khan Booked for Rape Case Amid ‘House Arrest’ OTT Show Controversy

Actor Ajaz Khan has been booked for rape following allegations by an actress, even as he faces backlash over controversial content from his OTT show House Arrest.

The Charkop Police in Mumbai have registered a rape case against actor Ajaz Khan under sections 64, 64(2)(M), 69, and 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), officials confirmed on Monday. The complaint, filed by a fellow actress, alleges that Khan sexually assaulted her after repeatedly promising marriage.

The actress stated that Khan lured her with promises of a role in his OTT project House Arrest and future collaborations. She claims that on March 25, he raped her at his residence and later repeated the act while reiterating his commitment to marry her.

“She said Khan justified his actions by claiming his religion permits four marriages and that he would take full responsibility for her,” a police source said.

The case comes amid mounting controversy around Khan’s reality show House Arrest, streamed on the Ullu App. The Amboli Police have also filed an FIR against Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey, and others associated with the platform for allegedly promoting obscene content.

The FIR was registered after Bajrang Dal activist Gautam Ravriya filed a complaint citing a viral video clip from the show. In the clip, Khan was seen instructing contestants, including women, to act out sexually suggestive positions on camera.

“The nature of the content is vulgar and offensive. Several citizens have messaged me directly, expressing concern,” Ravriya stated in his complaint.

The video has sparked outrage online, with many users condemning the format and conduct of the show. Political figures have also expressed disapproval, demanding regulatory action against OTT content promoting obscenity.

Meanwhile, police investigations into both the rape allegation and the obscene content complaint are underway. Officials said appropriate legal action will follow after gathering all necessary evidence and statements.

Ajaz Khan, a former Bigg Boss contestant, has had multiple brushes with controversy in the past. Known for his outspoken persona, Khan has been involved in several legal cases, including those related to drug possession and inflammatory social media posts.

His latest show, House Arrest, features a group of participants locked in a house and assigned provocative tasks. The format has drawn sharp criticism from social groups and the public alike.
