Dubai Woman Arrested for Trespassing into Actor Aditya Roy Kapur’s Mumbai Home
A 47-year-old woman from Dubai was arrested on Monday evening after she allegedly trespassed into Bollywood actor Aditya Roy Kapur’s Bandra residence under false pretenses, claiming to deliver gifts and clothes. The woman, identified as Gajala Zakaria Siddiqui, was taken into custody by Khar Police and booked for trespassing under Section 331(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
According to police officials, the incident occurred around 6 pm when Siddiqui arrived at Kapur’s home and convinced the domestic help to let her in, saying she had gifts for the actor. When Kapur returned and saw the unfamiliar woman inside, he immediately alerted his staff.
“She attempted to get close to the actor, following which he was advised to step out of the house for safety,” said an official from Khar Police Station. Kapur’s production manager Shruti Rao was later sent to the apartment to manage the situation, after which a formal complaint was filed.
Upon interrogation, the woman told police that she was a fan of the actor and had travelled from Dubai with the intention of meeting him and staying with him. Authorities say they are investigating her background and intentions further.
This security breach comes just days after two individuals were arrested for trespassing into the Bandra residence of superstar Salman Khan, raising concerns over the safety of Bollywood celebrities.
The police are drawing parallels to the high-profile January 16 attack on actor Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed multiple times in his upscale Bandra flat by an intruder identified as a Bangladeshi national. That incident led to the actor undergoing emergency surgery and spending five days in hospital.
No injuries were reported in the Aditya Roy Kapur case, and the actor has not issued a public statement as of now.
