Actress Shefali Jariwala was cremated in Mumbai on Saturday evening, after her shocking and untimely death at the age of 42. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, was seen breaking down while performing the last rites, bidding an emotional and tearful goodbye to his wife.

The final rites took place at the Oshiwara Crematorium, attended by grieving family members and close friends from the entertainment industry. Heart-wrenching visuals from the crematorium showed a devastated Parag Tyagi in tears as he fulfilled his final duties. Shefali’s mother was also seen, inconsolable with grief.

Earlier in the day, the actress’s body was brought to her residence in Andheri after a post-mortem was conducted at Cooper Hospital. Several television personalities, including her ‘Bigg Boss 13’ co-contestants Rashami Desai, Aarti Singh, and Mahira Sharma, visited the house to offer their condolences and pay their last respects.

Shefali Jariwala, who became a household name with the iconic 2002 music video ‘Kaanta Laga’, passed away on Friday night. She was reportedly found unconscious at her home and rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. While a cardiac arrest is the suspected cause, an official confirmation is awaited pending the post-mortem report.

The sudden demise of the vibrant actress has sent shockwaves through the industry and left her fans heartbroken. She is fondly remembered for her dynamic presence across music videos, reality shows like ‘Nach Baliye’ and ‘Bigg Boss’, and her enduring popularity as the original ‘Thong Girl’ of India.
