‘100% Sure She Killed Him’: Sonam’s Brother Disowns Her, Says She Tied Rakhi to Co-Accused Lover

In a stunning development in the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case, Sonam Raghuvanshi’s own brother, Govind, said on Wednesday that he is “100 percent sure” his sister murdered her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi. Disowning her completely, he revealed that Sonam used to tie a rakhi on the wrist of Raj Kushwaha, the co-accused with whom she allegedly had an affair and conspired to kill her husband.

Addressing the media in Indore after meeting the victim’s grieving family, Govind Raghuvanshi publicly apologised and announced that his family has severed all ties with Sonam. He demanded the harshest punishment for his sister if she is found guilty.

“According to the evidence found so far, I am 100% sure that she has committed this murder,” Govind said. “We have broken our ties with Sonam Raghuvanshi. I apologise to Raja’s family.” He added, “Sonam doesn’t consider herself guilty… We will fight on behalf of Raja.”

The brother’s condemnation adds a dramatic twist to the case where Sonam is the prime accused in the murder of her husband. Govind revealed the complex and deceptive relationship between his sister and her alleged lover, Raj Kushwaha. “Raj Kushwaha always used to call her ‘didi’ (elder sister). For the last three years, Sonam has been tying a rakhi to Raj Kushwaha,” he stated, highlighting a deeply shocking betrayal of the sacred brother-sister bond.

This statement comes just as sources within the Meghalaya Police Special Investigation Team (SIT) revealed that Sonam has confessed to her involvement in the murder plot during interrogation. Raja Raghuvanshi was killed during the couple’s honeymoon in Meghalaya last month. Investigators allege that Sonam, along with Kushwaha and three hired killers, orchestrated the murder.

The victim’s family has welcomed Govind’s support, stating it strengthens their call for justice. The case has captivated the nation with its chilling details of a love affair that allegedly culminated in a cold-blooded murder disguised as a holiday trip. The investigation is ongoing, with police piecing together evidence to present a watertight case in court.
