11 Khatu Shyam Devotees Killed in Horrific Dausa Road Accident, Several Injured

A pilgrimage turned to tragedy in Rajasthan on Tuesday when 11 devotees returning from the renowned Khatu Shyam temple were killed in a horrific road accident in Dausa district. The incident, involving a collision between a passenger pick-up vehicle and a trailer truck, left several others injured, with nine being referred to a hospital in Jaipur for advanced treatment due to the severity of their injuries.

The accident occurred when the vehicle carrying the devotees crashed into a trailer truck. Emergency services rushed to the scene to rescue the victims and provide medical aid. SP Sagar Rana confirmed the details, initially stating, “Information was received about devotees coming from Khatu Shyam temple who met with an accident and till now, 10 casualties have occurred. Nearly seven to eight people have been referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur.” The death toll later rose to 11. Three other injured individuals are receiving treatment at a local district hospital.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives. In a post on X, he wrote, “The news of the loss of life in a horrific road accident in Dausa is extremely tragic. The district administration has been directed to ensure prompt and proper treatment for the injured.” He offered condolences to the bereaved families, adding, “May God grant a place at His divine feet to the departed souls and provide speedy recovery to the injured.”
