Baghpat Stage Collapse : 5 Dead, 40 Injured As Stage Collapses at Jain Nirvana Festival
In a tragic turn of events, a stage collapse at the Jain Nirvana festival in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, led to the death of five individuals and injured at least 40 others on Tuesday morning. Baghpat’s District Magistrate, Asmita Lal, confirmed the details, stating, “This event has been conducted for nearly 30 years. At least 40 people have been injured. They have been admitted to the hospital and are undergoing treatment. Twenty people have already been released after administering first aid.”
The immediate response from local authorities was swift, with senior police officials and a significant police force arriving at the scene to manage the crisis and ensure the injured were promptly taken to hospitals.
