The Bengaluru techie suicide case involving Atul Subhash has taken a critical turn as the police have arrested three key individuals. Subhash’s wife, Nikita Singhania, was detained in Gurugram, Haryana, while her mother Visha Singhania and brother Anurag Singhania were apprehended in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. All three accused have been charged under sections of abetment to suicide and were remanded to judicial custody after being presented in court.

Atul Subhash, a 34-year-old tech professional, reportedly ended his life following alleged harassment and dowry demands by his wife and her family. The tragedy sparked outrage nationwide, prompting a swift investigation by the Bengaluru police. The authorities initiated the arrests after visiting the Singhania family’s native village in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, to gather evidence.

DCP Shivakumar of Bengaluru’s Whitefield Division led the operation, stating that the case involves charges against Nikita as the primary accused (A1), with her mother (A2) and brother (A3) as accomplices. While the accused have filed for anticipatory bail, they maintain their innocence, claiming no involvement in Subhash’s suicide.

The case has garnered widespread attention, highlighting issues of domestic abuse and mental health challenges in marital relationships. Legal proceedings are ongoing, with the police continuing to build their case against the accused.
