'Bhau Gang' Claims Responsibility for Firing at Elvish Yadav's Home, Cites Betting App Promotion

A social media post has claimed that the notorious ‘Bhau Gang,’ led by Portugal-based fugitive gangster Himanshu Bhau and his associate Neeraj Faridpuria, was behind the brazen firing incident outside the Gurugram residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav early on Sunday morning. The post, which appeared on Instagram, directly linked the attack to Yadav’s alleged promotion of illegal betting apps.

“Greetings to all. Today, a shooting took place at ELVISH YADAV’s house. It was carried out by NEERAJ FARIDPUR and BHAU RITOLIYA. Today we have made our presence known,” the post read. It went on to state the motive: “He has destroyed a lot of homes by promoting illegal betting apps.

It is a warning to all such insects on social media, like Elvish Yadav. Whoever promotes these apps, be aware, a call or a bullet could come at any time. Stay alert.” While India Today TV could not independently verify the post’s authenticity, the Bhau gang has previously claimed responsibility for similar attacks, including one on singer Rahul Fazilpura in July.

The attack occurred around 5:30 am when three masked men on a motorcycle fired more than two dozen rounds at Yadav’s house in Sector 57. The bullets hit the ground and first floors, shattering windows and glass doors. Elvish Yadav was not at home at the time of the incident, though his family members were present. No injuries were reported.

Gurugram Police confirmed the details of the attack. “Three masked miscreants opened fire outside the residence of YouTuber and Big Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav… More than a dozen rounds were fired,” said Sandeep Kumar, PRO of Gurugram Police. Authorities have collected forensic evidence and are scanning CCTV footage to identify the culprits.

Yadav’s father stated that the family had not received any threats prior to the incident. “We were sleeping when the attackers came on a motorcycle. One sat on the bike, while the other two stepped down and opened fire. They fired around 25–30 rounds and fled,” he said. The police are awaiting a formal complaint from the family to proceed with further legal action.
