‘Chun Chun Ke Badla’: Amit Shah Vows Action After Pahalgam Terror Attack

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday pledged a strong and targeted response to the Pahalgam terror attack, warning that perpetrators would face precise retribution under PM Modi’s leadership.
Speaking publicly for the first time since the deadly April 22 Pahalgam attack, Amit Shah declared that India would not rest until terrorism is wiped out from the country. “If anyone thinks that a cowardly attack is their victory, they must remember this is Narendra Modi’s India — and revenge will be taken, one by one,” Shah said, sending a strong message to those behind the attack.
Reiterating the government’s uncompromising stance, he added, “It is our resolve to uproot terrorism from every inch of this country, and it will be accomplished.”
Shah emphasized that the world stands united with India in its battle against terrorism. “Not only 140 crore Indians but the whole world is standing with India. All countries have come together in this fight,” he said.
The Home Minister affirmed that India’s commitment to justice would not be deterred. “Those who have committed terror acts will certainly be given appropriate punishment,” he asserted.
The April 22 terror attack in Baisaran meadow, a popular tourist destination in Pahalgam, claimed the lives of 25 tourists and one local. The attack was carried out in a secluded mountainous area, accessible only by hiking or pony rides, making it one of the most chilling civilian-targeted assaults in recent years.
Following the incident, Amit Shah immediately visited Srinagar, met grieving families on April 23, and laid wreaths on the victims’ bodies. “The culprits of this dastardly terror attack will not be spared,” he had vowed then.
In the aftermath of the attack, India suspended several bilateral engagements with Pakistan. These include pausing the Indus Waters Treaty and cancelling visas issued to Pakistani nationals, signaling rising diplomatic tensions between the two nations.
The Home Ministry is expected to ramp up counter-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir and work with global allies to track and dismantle the network behind the Pahalgam assault.
