As campaigning for the Delhi assembly elections heats up, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp attack on AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of deception and corruption during his 10-year rule in the national capital. Addressing the Jhuggi Basti Pradhan Sammelan at Delhi’s JLN Stadium, Shah criticized Kejriwal’s claim that BJP had selected Ramesh Bidhuri as its chief ministerial candidate.

Shah dismissed Kejriwal’s assertion about BJP’s CM face, stating, “Can Kejriwal decide BJP’s chief ministerial face? Delhi understands his manipulative tactics.” Meanwhile, Kejriwal invited Bidhuri to an open debate on developmental issues, congratulating him prematurely on his supposed candidacy.

Shah turned the focus to slum dwellers, accusing Kejriwal of betraying them. “People in slums are living in poor conditions with no clean water or basic amenities. If Kejriwal can’t deliver, he should step aside,” Shah said. He promised better housing for slum dwellers, reiterating BJP’s commitment to their welfare.

Highlighting PM Modi’s previous remarks, Shah labeled the AAP government as an “Aapda” (disaster) and criticized Kejriwal for prioritizing personal luxuries over public welfare. He pointed to the controversial renovation of Kejriwal’s official residence, calling it a “Sheesh Mahal,” and accused him of neglecting infrastructure in slums.

Responding to Shah’s remarks, Kejriwal alleged that BJP plans to demolish slums post-election and vowed to expose their intentions in an upcoming press conference. AAP MP Sanjay Singh also accused BJP of bulldozing slum dwellers’ homes and failing to address their needs.
