Bomb Threat at Delhi's DPS Dwarka; School Evacuated as Police Launch Search Operation

Delhi Public School (DPS) in Dwarka was thrown into chaos on Monday morning after receiving a bomb threat, prompting an immediate and full evacuation of the premises as a precautionary measure. According to the Delhi Fire Service, police teams and bomb disposal squads were swiftly dispatched to the scene and are currently conducting a thorough search of the entire school campus to rule out any danger. The incident has once again raised concerns about the safety of educational institutions in the capital, following a recent spate of similar hoaxes.

This latest threat is not an isolated incident. Just last month, in July, a series of coordinated bomb threats targeted multiple schools across Delhi, with a significant number located in the same Dwarka sub-city. At that time, police determined that a single email address was used to send menacing messages to at least five schools, including St. Thomas School, Delhi International School Edge, Central Academy School, GD Goenka School, and Modern International School, all situated in Dwarka.

The same month saw a similar scare unfold in Bengaluru, where a threatening email was sent to 40 private schools, triggering widespread panic and extensive combing operations by law enforcement after students were safely evacuated.

The nature of these threats has been particularly disturbing. The email sent to the Bengaluru schools, originating from the address “roadkill333@atomicmail.io,” contained chilling details. The sender claimed to have planted several explosive devices (Trinitrotoluene) within classrooms and made gruesome threats, writing in capital letters, “I WILL ERASE EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU FROM THIS WORLD. NOT A SINGLE SOUL WILL SURVIVE.”

The message also included harrowing personal statements, with the sender expressing a hatred for their own life, mentioning struggles with mental health, and threatening to commit suicide after the attack. The email railed against psychiatrists and medication, suggesting a deeply troubled individual was behind the hoax.
