Registration For Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana Started From Today
In a move aimed at empowering women in Delhi, former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took a significant step. He launched the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana on Monday. The registration process for the scheme commenced in East Kidwai Nagar, where Kejriwal personally visited households to encourage participation.
The Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana promises monthly financial assistance to eligible women over the age of 18. Initially set at ₹1,000, the amount is projected to increase to ₹2,100 post-elections. The scheme is designed to provide economic relief to women. It enables them to manage household expenses. It also helps improve their financial independence.
Kaumud Prasad, the first beneficiary registered under the scheme, expressed her optimism. “We are hopeful that we will get the money. I will use it for my everyday expenses of the house.” Prasad also highlighted the government’s history of supporting women. The government provides free bus services. This action reinforces trust in the initiative.
Kejriwal emphasized the necessity of voter registration for women to avail the scheme’s benefits. During the door-to-door campaign, he encountered a woman whose name had been removed from the voter list. Assuring assistance, he urged women across Delhi to verify their voter registration to ensure eligibility for the financial aid.“Check your voter registration,” Kejriwal advised, “It is necessary to have your name on the voter list to receive ₹2,100 every month.”
