Disha Patani House Firing: Two Shooters of Goldy Brar Gang Killed in Encounter

Two wanted shooters involved in the firing incident outside actor Disha Patani’s Bareilly home were killed in a police encounter near Ghaziabad’s Tronica City on Wednesday . The accused, identified as Ravindra alias Kallu and Arun, were active members of the notorious Rohit Godara–Goldy Brar gang and were wanted in multiple criminal cases .

The shootout was the culmination of a joint operation by the Delhi Police and the Special Task Forces (STF) of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana . The assailants were tracked down after being spotted on the same motorcycle used in the September 12 firing . During the confrontation, both men were critically injured and later succumbed to their injuries in a hospital, police confirmed . A Glock pistol, a Zigana pistol, and several cartridges were recovered from the scene .

The Goldy Brar gang had claimed responsibility for the attack in a social media post, alleging that the Patani family had disrespected Sanatana Dharma through remarks made about saints Premanand Maharaj and Anidruddhacharya Maharaj .

The primary target of the attack was Disha Patani’s father, Jagdish Patani, a retired police officer . According to the FIR, two men on a motorcycle opened fire on his house at around 3:30 am, with one shouting “Kill him” . Jagdish Patani managed to escape unhurt by hiding behind a balcony pillar .

Following the incident, Bareilly police registered a case and increased security around the Patani residence . Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally spoke with Jagdish Patani and directed the police to crack the case swiftly . Investigators analyzed CCTV footage and coordinated with police in neighboring states to identify and track the shooters, leading to Wednesday’s encounter . Further investigation is ongoing to identify other gang members involved .
