Haryana Youtuber Strangles Husband, Dumps Body With Lover’s Help: Police
A YouTuber in Haryana’s Bhiwani allegedly murdered her husband with her lover’s help and disposed of the body in a drain after being caught in a compromising position.
The woman, identified as Ravina, is a social media influencer with a significant presence on YouTube. She allegedly strangled her husband Praveen using a dupatta on March 25, with assistance from her lover, Suresh, police said.
Authorities say the killing was triggered after Praveen returned home and found Ravina and Suresh in an objectionable position, sparking a heated altercation. Later that night, the two suspects reportedly executed the crime and attempted to conceal it.
The duo allegedly transported Praveen’s body on a two-wheeler and dumped it in a drain outside the city. The decomposed body was discovered three days later after Praveen’s family lodged a missing person report.
Police said that a purported video circulating online shows Ravina and Suresh carrying the body on a bike, which is now part of the investigation.
“Ravina has been arrested in connection with the murder. Suresh is currently absconding, and teams have been deployed to trace him,” said a Bhiwani police official.
The case has shocked the local community due to its gruesome nature and the involvement of a social media influencer. Authorities are verifying the authenticity of video evidence and statements from witnesses.
Ravina and Praveen were married in 2017 and have a six-year-old son. Family members said tensions had been brewing after Ravina started making YouTube videos with Suresh, despite Praveen’s objections.
According to reports, Ravina and Suresh became close over the past two years while collaborating on social media content, which allegedly led to the extramarital affair and eventual crime.
Police are continuing their investigation and forensic analysis. They’ve also requested assistance from cybercrime units to verify the online footage and trace digital footprints of the accused.
Authorities assured that Suresh will be apprehended soon. Meanwhile, Ravina remains in custody and is being interrogated further.
