'If You Want Revenge, Get Me': Vijay Blames Stalin Govt For Karur Stampede, Dares CM

In his first public address since the tragic Karur stampede that claimed 41 lives, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay released an emotional video statement, directly blaming the state government for the disaster and challenging Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to take action against him personally. Expressing profound sorrow over the incident, the actor-politician insisted that neither he nor his party was negligent and hinted at a political conspiracy behind the tragedy that unfolded during his rally.

“I have not faced a painful situation like this in my life. My heart aches,” Vijay began, describing the immense pain he felt. He asserted that his team had prioritized public safety by choosing a secure venue and requesting police assistance. “In order to ensure there should be no compromise on the safety of people, I kept politics aside and chose a place that was safe… But what should not have happened, happened,” he stated, deflecting blame from his party’s organizers.Addressing the FIRs being filed against his party members, Vijay made a direct and defiant appeal to the Chief Minister. “CM sir, if you have an intention to take revenge, do anything to me. Do not touch them,” he declared.

“I’ll either be home, or in my office. Do anything you want to me.” He questioned the circumstances of the incident, suggesting it was suspiciously isolated to one location. “We campaigned in five districts, so why did this happen in Karur? How did this occur? People know the truth and they are watching everything,” he said, implying foul play.Vijay expressed confidence that the truth would emerge, citing social media clips from locals as evidence.

While acknowledging the suffering of the affected families and promising to meet them soon, he concluded with a defiant vow to continue his political journey with “more strength and more fearlessness,” thanking all who had supported him.
