As India marks its 76th Republic Day on January 26, 2025, the stage is set at Kartavya Path for a grand parade that will celebrate the nation’s vibrant culture, military might, and the 75th anniversary of the Constitution. This year’s parade is not just another routine event; it’s a testament to India’s journey as a democratic republic and its commitment to ‘Jan Bhagidari’ or public participation.

A new highlight this year is the introduction of a Tri-services tableau, which for the first time will roll down Kartavya Path. This tableau under the theme ‘Shashakt aur Surakshit Bharat’ (Strong and Secure India) will showcase the unity and integration among the Indian Armed Forces, displaying a battlefield scenario that emphasizes synchronized operations across land, water, and air.

The parade will also feature thirty-one tableaux, each telling a story of India’s cultural diversity and progress. Sixteen of these are from states and Union Territories, while fifteen represent various central ministries and organizations. These displays aim to reflect the theme ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’ (Golden India: Heritage and Development), celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage alongside its developmental strides.

Cultural performances by 5,000 artists will cover the entire Kartavya Path, bringing to life the essence of India’s diverse dance forms in an 11-minute spectacle, ensuring an engaging experience for all attendees. Nari Shakti, or women’s power, will also be in the spotlight with veteran women officers from all three services leading the parade, symbolizing the pivotal role women play in shaping India’s defense forces.

The parade will kick off at 10:30 AM with President Droupadi Murmu leading the nation, joined by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto as the chief guest, adding an international flavor to the celebrations. This Republic Day parade is not just about showcasing military strength or cultural richness; it’s a reaffirmation of India’s democratic values, unity, and the ongoing journey towards a Swarnim Bharat.
