Massive Landslide In Sirmaur Caught On Camera As Hillside Collapses

A terrifying video has captured the moment a massive landslide, triggered by heavy rainfall, tore through Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district, with a large section of a hill collapsing near Chaukar village in the Nauhradhar area. The dramatic footage shows a cascade of rock and debris tumbling down the slope, underscoring the destructive power of the state’s ongoing monsoon fury.

The landslide reportedly stretched across a 200-metre area, and while five people were present at the spot when the disaster struck, authorities have confirmed that all of them are safe and no injuries have been reported. However, the incident has left five nearby houses in a designated danger zone, raising fears for the safety of residents.

This latest disaster is not an isolated event, as relentless heavy rains continue to lash the hill state, causing widespread damage to life and property. Just a day earlier, on Friday, another landslide was reported in the Akhara Bazaar area of Kullu, highlighting the precarious situation across several districts. Authorities have repeatedly urged caution as the region grapples with the severe impact of the monsoon.
