Saif Ali Khan Attack: Suspect Detained by Mumbai Police Bought to Bandra Station
In a shocking incident that has gripped the nation, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times at his Bandra home early Thursday morning. Mumbai Police have now detained a suspect for questioning, as reported by news agencies ANI and PTI, who shared visuals of the individual being escorted into Bandra Police Station on Friday.
The attack took place around 2 am when an intruder, armed with a wooden stick and a Hexa blade, entered the actor’s 12th-floor apartment at ‘Satguru Sharan’ building. The intruder, caught on CCTV wearing a brown collared T-shirt and a red scarf, was seen fleeing down the stairs at 2:33 am. This footage has been pivotal in the police’s ongoing investigation.
Saif Ali Khan, along with his wife Kareena Kapoor and their two sons, Taimur and Jeh, were at home when the incident occurred. The actor sustained six stab wounds, one of which was alarmingly close to his spine, resulting in a major injury to the thoracic spinal cord. He was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital for emergency surgery, where doctors successfully removed a 2.5-inch knife from his spine and addressed the leaking spinal fluid. After the operation, Khan was moved to the ICU and is now reported to be out of danger, recuperating under medical supervision.

The motive behind the attack appears to be robbery, as revealed in the statement given by Jeh’s nanny, Philip, who encountered the intruder first. She reported that the assailant demanded ₹1 crore. There was no forced entry, suggesting the intruder might have sneaked in earlier in the night.
While the police have not confirmed an arrest, they have intensified their efforts to ensure justice is served. This incident has raised significant concerns about security in high-profile residential areas and has sparked a broader conversation about safety measures for celebrities.
