Noida Dowry Death Twist: Accused Husband Had Affair, Beat Lover After Wife Caught Them

New and disturbing details have emerged in the horrifying Noida dowry death case, revealing that the accused husband, Vipin Bhati, was allegedly having an affair and had been caught red-handed by his wife, Nikki. Sources told that the confrontation led to Vipin assaulting his lover, for which a separate FIR was filed against him last year.

This new angle adds another layer of complexity to the motive behind Nikki’s brutal murder. According to the investigation, an FIR was lodged in Noida in October of last year after the woman Vipin was involved with filed a complaint, accusing him of assault and exploitation after his wife caught them together.

The police investigation is also uncovering attempts to mislead authorities. When Nikki was brought to Fortis Hospital on August 21 with severe burn injuries, the medical-legal case report cited a “cylinder blast” as the cause. However, when police examined the crime scene, they found no evidence to support this claim. Instead, they recovered a bottle of thinner and a lighter, suggesting a deliberate act of arson. Investigators will now record the statement of the Fortis Hospital doctor and review CCTV footage to determine who provided the false information about the cylinder blast and who was present at the hospital.

The in-laws have claimed they were the ones who rushed Nikki to the hospital, asking police, “If we had set her on fire, why would we take her to the hospital?” This claim is being contradicted by the victim’s sister and eyewitness, Kanchan, who stated that the in-laws fled after setting Nikki on fire and that a neighbour had taken her to the hospital.

Police are meticulously building a timeline of the crime. Kanchan’s statement has confirmed that she recorded a video of her sister burning at 5:45 pm on the day of the incident. Using this precise timing, police will now analyze CCTV footage, call detail records, and location data to pinpoint the whereabouts of each family member when the crime was committed, further scrutinizing their alibis.
