A high-speed Lamborghini, allegedly clocking 300 kmph, crashed into two labourers on a footpath in Noida’s Sector 94 on Sunday, leaving them injured and triggering a police investigation. The luxury car, owned by popular YouTuber Mridul Tiwari, was being test-driven by a car dealer when the accident occurred near an under-construction site, raising questions about road safety and reckless driving.

A probe revealed that the Lamborghini belongs to Mridul Tiwari, a Noida-based YouTuber boasting over 18 million subscribers. Noida ADCP Sumit Shukla told HT, “The owner, Mridul Tiwari, was selling the car, and Deepak, a car dealer, had come to check its condition during a test drive.”

Deepak, during interrogation, claimed the accident resulted from a vehicle fault, though authorities are still verifying this statement as part of their investigation.

The incident took place adjacent to an under-construction building in Sector 94, where two labourers from Chhattisgarh were sitting. The speeding Lamborghini veered off course, striking them and causing leg fractures. Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital and are reported to be out of danger.

Police swiftly arrested the driver, identified as Deepak from Ajmer, Rajasthan, and seized the Pondicherry-registered vehicle. A case has been registered, and legal action is underway.

One of the injured labourers recounted the harrowing moment to Republic TV, saying, “A car was coming at a speed of 300 kmph. All three of us fell inside the drain after getting hit by the car. He was driving at 300 kmph.” The claim of such extreme speed has drawn attention, though police have yet to confirm the exact velocity of the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The casual tone prompted an onlooker to shout, “Police ko bulao” (Call the police), reflecting the immediate tension at the scene.

The clip has fueled public concern over accountability and the dangers of high-speed driving in urban areas.

Bhupendra Singh, in-charge at Sector 126 Police Station, confirmed to PTI, “In the car accident, two labourers were injured. They are out of danger and have fractures in their legs.” He noted that the incident occurred near an under-construction building, adding to the complexity of the site.

The police investigation continues, with officials expected to release an official statement on the Lamborghini’s speed and the factors leading to the accident. Further updates on the victims’ recovery and legal proceedings against Deepak are anticipated as the probe progresses.
