PM Modi On Maan Ki Baat "The Enemies Of Kashmir, Not Like Progress And Want To Destroy It..."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, calling it an attempt to derail Kashmir’s progress. He assured justice for the victims and vowed to punish the perpetrators.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking on his radio programme Mann Ki Baat, strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, describing it as a desperate attempt by the enemies of Kashmir and India to disrupt the region’s rapid progress. Modi said that Kashmir has seen “unprecedented growth” in recent years, with a rise in tourism, a flourishing educational environment, and more opportunities for the youth.

“The enemies of Jammu and Kashmir and India do not like this progress,” Modi said. “They want to destroy Kashmir once again.” He emphasized that the attack was a reflection of the frustration of those who support terrorism and are opposed to peace in the region.

PM Modi highlighted the international outpouring of support, with global leaders condemning the attack and expressing solidarity with India in its fight against terrorism. “The entire world stands with the 1.4 billion Indians in our fight against terrorism,” Modi said, underlining the global recognition of India’s efforts in combating terror.

PM Modi assured the families of those killed in the attack that justice would be served. He stated that the perpetrators and masterminds behind the massacre would face punishment beyond their imagination. “We will trace and punish every terrorist and their backers,” he asserted, vowing to pursue them to the ends of the Earth.

The attack on Tuesday in Pahalgam left 26 dead, mostly tourists, in what has been described as the deadliest attack in the region since the 2019 Pulwama bombing. The attack was claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), a Pakistan-based militant group. The strike occurred against the backdrop of a return of peace and prosperity in Kashmir, with growing tourism and educational opportunities. The Indian government had recently suspended the Indus Waters Treaty in response to the attack, signaling a broader escalation in tensions between India and Pakistan.

Prime Minister Modi’s strong statements following the Pahalgam attack makes India’s commitment to confronting terrorism with unyielding resolve. As investigations continue, the government has vowed to take every possible measure to ensure the safety of its citizens and punish those responsible for the terror attack.
