“She Was Asked For Nude Pics”: Akshay Kumar Reveals Daughter’s Disturbing Online Gaming Incident
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar on Friday shared a deeply personal and disturbing incident involving his 13-year-old daughter to underscore the escalating threat of cybercrime targeting children. Speaking at the launch of Cyber Awareness Month 2025 in Mumbai, the actor revealed that his daughter was asked for nude pictures by an unknown person while playing an online video game a few months ago.Recounting the chilling experience, Akshay explained how the incident unfolded.
“My daughter was playing a video game, and there are some video games that you can play with someone. You are playing with an unknown stranger,” he said. The interaction started innocuously before taking a sinister turn. “A message came… Are you male or female? So she replied female. And then he sent a message.
Can you send me nude pictures of yours?” The actor shared that his daughter immediately switched off the game and informed her mother, his wife Twinkle Khanna, about the incident.Using this real-life scare to drive home his point, Akshay highlighted how easily children can become victims. “This is how things begin. This is also a part of cybercrime,” he stated.
He made a fervent appeal to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who was also present, to introduce a mandatory weekly “cyber period” in schools for students from the 7th to 10th grades. “You all know that this crime is becoming bigger than street crime. It is very important to stop this crime,” Akshay urged.The event, held at the State Police Headquarters, was also attended by Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, actress Rani Mukerji, and other senior officials, all gathered to raise awareness about the growing dangers in the digital world.
