State-Level Tennis Player Radhika Yadav Shot Dead By Father In Gurugram

A 25-year-old state-level tennis player was allegedly shot dead by her own father at their residence in Gurugram’s Sector 57 on Thursday morning in a shocking incident that has stunned the local community.

The victim, identified as Radhika Yadav, was a well-known lawn tennis player who had won several medals and also ran her own tennis academy.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 10:30 AM on the first floor of their family home. Radhika was allegedly shot three times by her father. She was rushed to a nearby private hospital in a critical condition but succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

“We received information from the hospital that a 25-year-old woman had died from three bullet injuries,” an official from the Sector 56 police station told India Today. “When we reached the incident spot, we found that the woman’s father had fired at her.”

The police have arrested the accused father and recovered the revolver believed to have been used in the crime from the house.

The motive behind the horrific act is yet to be ascertained and is currently the focus of the police investigation. Senior police officials have reached the crime scene and are questioning other family members to understand the circumstances that led to the murder.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the sports community and the upscale residential area where the family lived.
