Manav Sharma Suicide: Viral WhatsApp Chats of Wife and Sister Reveal ‘Ignore, Soja Tu’ Before TCS Employee’s Death
Agra, March 03, 2025 – A tragic incident has gripped Uttar Pradesh after Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) employee Manav Sharma, aged 25, took his own life on February 24 by hanging himself at his Agra home. In a heartbreaking video found on his phone, Manav blamed his wife Nikita Sharma’s alleged affair for his drastic step, sparking a storm of debate. Now, leaked WhatsApp chats between Nikita and Manav’s sister Akansha have gone viral, shedding light on the hours before his death.
Manav’s video, nearly seven minutes long, showed him emotional and distressed, urging society to “think and talk about men.” However, Nikita denies the affair claims, saying Manav fixated on her past, leading to violence, self-harm, and alcohol abuse. She insists she tried to save him multiple times, including on the night of his death.
The WhatsApp chats reveal a desperate Nikita messaging Akansha around 2:00 AM, warning that Manav was drunk and unresponsive. “He’s placed a chair on the bed with a dupatta around his neck,” Nikita wrote, pleading for help after seeing him on a video call. Akansha’s replies—“It’s okay. Ignore. Soja tu” (Go to sleep)—have stunned many. Despite Nikita’s repeated cries that Manav might kill himself, Akansha urged her to “relax” and “be strong,” dismissing the urgency.

Nikita explained she was at her parents’ home that night due to her father’s ill health, leaving Manav alone. She begged Akansha to intervene, noting his past suicide attempts, but Akansha maintained, “Nothing will happen.” Tragically, Manav was found dead hours later.
The viral chats have fueled outrage online, with some questioning Akansha’s response and others sympathizing with Nikita’s efforts. Agra police have launched an investigation, registering a case under abetment of suicide laws based on a complaint from Manav’s father, Narendra Sharma, a retired Air Force officer. No arrests have been made yet as authorities probe the couple’s troubled marriage, which began in January 2024.
This case, echoing the recent Atul Subhash suicide in Bengaluru, has reignited discussions on mental health, marital stress, and men’s struggles in India.
