Princes Of Corruption': PM Modi's Scathing Attack On Rahul, Tejashwi In Bihar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a blistering attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav at a rally in Muzaffarpur on Thursday, branding them “princes of corruption” who have “opened a shop of false promises.” As the campaign for the Bihar assembly elections intensifies, the Prime Minister accused the opposition duo of deceiving the public and repeatedly abusing him out of personal hatred.”The duo, which considers themselves princes, has opened a shop of false promises. One is the prince of the country’s most corrupt family, and the other is the prince of Bihar’s most corrupt family,” PM Modi declared, taking a direct swipe at the two leaders by adding, “They both are out on bail”.

The Prime Minister claimed their animosity towards him stemmed from their inability to tolerate a person from a backward and poor family holding the country’s top post. “They hate me 24 hours a day and keep hurling insults,” he said. Modi also took aim at the opposition’s internal dynamics, suggesting their recent joint rally was a facade. “Yesterday, both, the so-called ‘Yuvrajs’ tried to show that there is no conflict between them, but what has brought them together is their greed for power,” he stated.

He further alleged that the Congress-RJD alliance had betrayed the cause of social justice and insulted the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, whose image, Modi said, “every Indian holds with reverence and devotion”.

The Prime Minister’s rally in Muzaffarpur is part of the NDA’s aggressive campaign push ahead of the two-phase Bihar elections scheduled for November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14. The high-voltage campaign has seen both sides trading sharp barbs, with the opposition focusing on issues of unemployment and governance, while the BJP targets the opposition leaders on corruption and dynastic politics.
