Tech Entrepreneur Prasanna Sankar Alleges Harassment by Wife, Chennai Police in Child Custody Dispute
Tech entrepreneur Prasanna Sankar has accused his estranged wife, Divya, and the Chennai Police of harassment in an ongoing child custody and divorce battle, claiming false allegations and illegal actions against him. Divya has denied the claims, alleging financial misconduct and sexual assault by Sankar. The dispute has escalated with both parties trading serious accusations.
Sankar, a National Institute of Technology, Trichy graduate and founder of Singapore-based 0xPPL.com, alleged on social media that his ordeal began after discovering his wife’s affair. He claimed Divya filed false complaints of domestic violence and kidnapping after failed divorce settlement talks. Sankar stated that the Chennai Police raided his friend Gokul’s home in Bengaluru without a warrant and tracked his movements illegally.
Sankar alleged that Divya “abducted” their nine-year-old son to the US, prompting him to file an international child abduction case, which he claims a US court ruled in his favor. An MoU was signed for joint custody, with Sankar agreeing to pay Rs 9 crore and Rs 4.3 lakh monthly support. However, he accused Divya of violating the agreement by refusing to deposit their son’s passport in a shared locker.

Divya refuted Sankar’s allegations, accusing him of luring her to India under false pretenses and forcibly taking their son. “I didn’t know what happened to my son, and that is why I filed a complaint with the police,” she stated. She further alleged Sankar transferred matrimonial assets to his father and brother in Thailand to evade taxes, and claimed he stole their son’s passport.
Divya escalated her claims, alleging Sankar was a sexual predator who secretly recorded women and assaulted her, asserting he was arrested in Singapore but later released on bail. She also claimed he faced charges in a sting operation for solicitation and sought Chennai Police’s help after being removed from his company. Sankar has denied all allegations, labeling them baseless.
Sankar, whose posts have garnered over 8.6 million views, stated he plans to file a legal petition to prevent harassment. He accused the police of threatening his friend to discredit his social media claims and suggested a joint press conference by Divya and the police to accuse him further. Chennai Police have not officially responded to either party’s claims at the time of publishing.
As the bitter dispute unfolds, legal proceedings are expected to intensify with Sankar’s planned petition and ongoing investigations. The conflicting narratives have drawn significant attention, and further updates from the Chennai Police or court rulings may clarify the contentious allegations in the coming days.
