Union Minister Raksha Khadse’s Daughter Molested at Maharashtra Fair: Fadnavis Vows Strict Action
A disturbing incident has rocked Muktainagar in Jalgaon district, where Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse’s minor daughter was allegedly molested by a group of youths during the Sant Muktai Yatra fair on February 28, 2025. The harassment occurred amid Mahashivratri celebrations, prompting the minister to file a complaint on Sunday, March 2.
Raksha Khadse, a BJP MP, arrived at the Muktainagar police station with her daughter, visibly shaken. “The night before last, my daughter went to the fair, and some boys harassed her,” she told reporters. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis quickly intervened, assuring swift justice. “This is a cheap act by some party officials. Police have arrested some, and strict action will be taken,” he said, emphasizing that such behavior is unforgivable.
Police have detained one suspect, Aniket Ghui, while six others remain at large. Sub-Divisional Police Officer Krishnat Pingale revealed the details: “On February 28, during the yatra in Kothali village, Aniket Ghui and his friends stalked and molested 3-4 girls, including the minister’s daughter.” A case has been registered under the POCSO Act, molestation charges, and the IT Act, with a manhunt underway for the remaining accused.

The incident has sparked broader concerns about women’s safety in Maharashtra. Former minister Eknath Khadse, Raksha’s father-in-law, called the accused “hardened criminals” with prior complaints against them. “Crime against women is rising, and criminals have no fear of police,” he said, noting that many victims hesitate to report due to stigma. NCP (Sharad Pawar) leader Rohini Khadse added, “If a Union Minister’s daughter isn’t safe, what hope do ordinary girls have?”
BJP MLA Ram Kadam vowed severe punishment, stating, “This disgraceful mentality won’t be tolerated. All involved will be jailed.” As of March 2, 2025, the case has ignited public outrage and underscored the urgency of tackling crime against women. With investigations ongoing, the focus remains on delivering justice for the minister’s daughter and the other victims of this brazen act.
