Arvind Kejriwal Alleges Conspiracy Against Delhi CM Atishi Ahead of Elections

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal spoke in a recent press conference. He alleged that central agencies are conspiring to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on fabricated charges. Kejriwal claimed that agencies like the CBI, ED, and Income Tax Department are directed to detain Atishi. This is to disrupt AAP’s campaign before the upcoming assembly elections.

Arvind Kejriwal accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating these actions. He claimed they have not achieved substantial work in Delhi over the past decade. He stated, “In the last 10 years, the BJP has no work in Delhi. They are asking for votes only by criticising and abusing Kejriwal.” He highlighted AAP’s positive campaign. He mentioned initiatives like the Mahila Samman Yojana. There is also a scheme providing free medical treatment for senior citizens.

Atishi expressed confidence in the legal system, stating that even if arrested, she believes she will secure bail. She accused the BJP of attempting to halt the free bus service for women in Delhi by targeting her. “Even if they arrest me, I have faith in the legal system and the Constitution,” she remarked.

These allegations arise amid a heated campaign for the Delhi assembly elections. AAP leaders are launching registration drives for the Mahila Samman Yojana. They are also organizing drives for Sanjeevani Yojana. However, the Delhi government’s Women and Child Development Department issued public notices. The Health Department also took action. They distanced themselves from these schemes. They labeled them “non-existent” and cautioned the public against providing personal details to unauthorized individuals.

Kejriwal criticized these notices, alleging that the BJP pressured certain officials to issue them. He asserted that the Delhi cabinet has approved the ₹1,000 allowance under the Mahila Samman Yojana. A notification has been issued. He also pledged to continue the free bus rides for women, stating, “I will not let the scheme of free bus rides for women stop till I am alive.”

The BJP, on the other hand, has criticized AAP’s welfare schemes, with BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj claiming that there is no “Sanjeevani Yojana” in existence, according to information from the Delhi government’s health secretary.

As the election approaches, these developments have intensified the political rivalry between AAP and BJP, with both parties accusing each other of misleading the public
