16 Injured As Tehran Retaliates With Ballistic Missiles on Israel After US Bombs Iran Nuclear Sites

After United States military has directly intervened in the escalating West Asia conflict, carrying out major airstrikes on three of Iran’s key nuclear facilities. Iran immediately retaliated with a salvo of more than 30 ballistic missiles targeting Israel, injuring at least 16 people and triggering air raid sirens across the country.

The direct American military action marks a dramatic and dangerous new phase in the war between Israel and Iran. In a statement on his Truth Social platform, US President Donald Trump confirmed the strikes and hailed them as a “spectacular military success.”

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran,” Trump announced, specifying the targets as the facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. “A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site,” he added, declaring that Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities had been “completely and totally obliterated.” He warned that Iran “must now agree to end this war” or face further strikes.

Within hours, Iran’s armed forces launched a massive retaliatory barrage at Israel. Explosions were heard in Jerusalem and a missile struck the city of Haifa. Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency service reported at least 16 people were wounded in the attacks, which caused “large-scale destruction.” The Israeli military said its air force was working to intercept the incoming missiles and civilians were ordered to remain in bomb shelters.

Iran’s state media claimed its missiles targeted multiple sites, including Ben Gurion airport and a “biological research centre.” The attack came shortly after Iran’s top diplomat warned of “everlasting consequences” for the US strikes on its “peaceful nuclear installations.”

The international community has reacted with alarm. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said he was “gravely alarmed” by the “dangerous escalation.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Trump’s “bold decision,” while regional power Saudi Arabia expressed “great concern” and called for a political solution.

Despite the attacks on the nuclear sites, both the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Iran’s own atomic energy body reported that no increase in off-site radiation levels had been detected so far.
