Baloch Insurgents Release First Visuals of Deadly Attack on Pakistan Military Convoy

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) released visuals of a devastating attack on a Pakistani military convoy in Balochistan’s Noshki, claiming 90 soldiers were killed, while the army reported seven deaths. The footage shows a bus destroyed in what officials call a suicide bombing, escalating tensions in the region.

The BLA’s Majeed Brigade shared footage hours after the Sunday attack, showing a convoy of eight buses hit by an explosive-laden vehicle. One bus was completely destroyed, with another struck by Rocket-Propelled Grenades (RPGs), as per the visuals released by both the BLA and Pakistani military.

The BLA stated that its Majeed Brigade and Fateh Squad executed the assault near Noshki. “The Fateh Squad surrounded the convoy post-explosion, systematically eliminating all military personnel on board,” the group claimed in an official statement.

The Pakistani military countered the BLA’s claim, confirming seven soldiers killed and 21 injured. “A security forces convoy travelling from Quetta to Taftan was attacked with an IED-laden vehicle, possibly a suicide attack,” a Pakistani official said in a statement.

While the BLA asserts 90 personnel were killed, the army’s figure stands at seven. The discrepancy highlights the ongoing information battle between the insurgents and authorities following the ambush on the RCD Highway.

The convoy, comprising seven buses and two vehicles, was enroute to Taftan when struck. Officials noted that one bus was hit by the IED vehicle, while RPGs targeted another, causing significant damage as seen in the released visuals.

The attack follows recent BLA actions, including a train hijacking, signaling a surge in insurgency in Balochistan. Authorities are likely to intensify security measures, while further updates on casualties and investigations are expected in the coming days.
