'F**k Off, Indian': Student Brutally Attacked in Adelaide in Suspected Racist Hate Crime

An Indian student has been hospitalised with serious injuries after being viciously assaulted and racially abused by a group of men in Adelaide, Australia. The attack on 23-year-old Charanpreet Singh, which occurred on Saturday night, has sparked outrage and renewed concerns about the safety of international students in the country.

The incident took place at around 9:22 pm on Kintore Avenue. Singh and his wife had just parked their car to view the city’s light displays when they were allegedly ambushed by five men armed with what appeared to be metal knuckles or other sharp objects.

According to Singh, what began as a dispute over a car park quickly escalated into a violent, racially charged assault. “They just said, ‘F**k off, Indian,’ and after that they just started punching,” he told 9News from his hospital bed.

The assailants beat Singh until he was unconscious, leaving him on the road with facial fractures and brain trauma. Video circulating on social media shows the attackers hurling racial slurs before fleeing the scene. In a courageous act, Singh’s wife followed the attackers while filming and managed to record their car’s registration number.

South Australia Police confirmed they responded to reports of an assault on Kintore Avenue. “When police arrived, they located the 22-year-old victim on the floor with facial injuries. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. Investigations are continuing,” a police spokesperson stated.
