‘Right Time To Come To India’ Modi Urges French CEOs to Invest in India
In a compelling pitch to French business leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared that the “right time to come to India” is now. Speaking at the 14th India-France CEO Forum in Paris, PM Modi detailed why India is an irresistible destination for global investments.
Modi highlighted the “eco-system of stable and predictable policy” that has been developed under his leadership over the past decade. This stability, he claims, is transforming India into the fifth-largest economy globally, with ambitions to leap to the third spot soon. His message to the CEOs was clear: “Everyone’s progress is linked to India’s progress.” This was exemplified by significant orders from Indian companies for new airplanes, signaling a boom in the aviation sector with plans to open 120 new airports.
The Prime Minister elaborated on several sectors ripe for investment. He spoke of India’s burgeoning defense manufacturing capabilities with initiatives like “Make in India” and “Make for the World.” The discussion also touched upon India’s Semiconductor and Quantum Missions, indicating a futuristic approach to technology and manufacturing.

Modi emphasized that when “France’s finesse meets India’s scale,” it could lead to a global transformation. The strategic partnership between India and France has been bolstered by shared goals of innovation, collaboration, and elevation, as reflected in the CEO Forum’s report. This forum isn’t just about business; it’s about strengthening strategic ties between the two nations.
India’s push towards sustainable energy was another focal point. Modi mentioned the Hydrogen Mission and a target to achieve 100 GW of nuclear power by 2047, opening this sector to private investments. This includes advanced technologies like Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and Advanced Modular Reactors (AMRs), which could be game-changers in nuclear energy.
Earlier in the day, at the AI Summit in Paris, Modi called for democratic, accessible technologies and bias-free AI data sets. He stressed the importance of global cooperation in AI governance to ensure that technology not only advances but does so transparently and responsibly.
PM Modi’s address was not just an invitation but a testament to India’s readiness for business. With a warm welcome from President Macron and engagements at high-level summits, Modi’s visit to France underscores a pivotal moment for Indo-French economic relations, promising mutual growth and innovation.
The timing couldn’t be better, as India gears up with policies and infrastructure to support massive economic growth. For French businesses looking to expand or diversify, India presents not just opportunities but a vision of shared prosperity.
